Dear Kiwanis Leader:
This is the time of year that we begin to look forward to a new administrative year. This involves finishing projects from the 2003-04 administrative year, training the 2004-05 officers and planning for a successful administrative year beginning October 1, 2004.
Current presidents please
take note of the following:
(1) Continue to recruit and bring in new members through September.
(2) Plan for a year-end Divisional Council Meeting in September. Exact time
and place to be announced in the third week of August.
(3) Encourage members to attend the Capital District Convention in Roanoke August
20-22.
(4) Consider your nominating your club for distinguished club status. I will
mail you this form also during the third week in August.
(5) Encourage club leaders for the 2004-05 administrative year to attend the
CLE on August 14 and training sessions to be held at the District Convention.
(6) Coordinate with your president-elect for installation of the 2004-05 officers.
President-elects should have appointed your committee chair people for the coming year. You should also being doing the following:
(1) Planing to
attend the CLE on August 14 (8:30AM-12:30PM) and encouraging your club officers
and other club leaders to join you. Please e-mail me (RxArthur@aol.com) the
number attending from your club. The CLE will be held in Conjunction with Divisions
12 & 19 at the Holy Comforter Church off Charles Street in Baltimore. Take
Charles Street exit off Beltway (I-695). Stay in left lane. Go to traffic light;
turn left. Get into right lane. When you come to traffic circle, go ¼
turn right. Follow road around to traffic light. Turn right. Go 50 feet and
turn into church parking lot.
(2) Planning your goals and objectives for the coming year.
(3) Planning to attend the Divisional Council Meeting in September to learn
about the Divisional expectations for 2004-05.
(4) Coordinate installation activities for the new administrative year.
