| Jerry's
Words of Wisdom by
Pres. Jerry Jenkins
Here
we go into the last two months of my term as President, and
I am sure some people are looking forward to the end as much
as I am.
With
all our people who are sick, transferred to senior status
or on vacation we are really coming up short on workers. Phil
is frustrated at the lack of inter-clubs. Eric asks where
are the new members, Clyde say’s I’m going to
Florida, Vern says “I need help fund raising”
and Jerry says what has happened.
Are
we biting off more than we can chew, or are we just momentarily
burnt out? I hope it is the latter.
I
hope everyone can snap their suspenders, remember what Kiwanis
is about and once again step up to the plate. A lot of assistance
is needed, Ladies and Gentlemen, to accomplish everything
we have obligated ourselves to do. I would ask each and every
one of you to once again evaluate your contribution to our
club and ask yourself are YOU doing all you can to accomplish
the goals of our Kiwanis club. I think most of us could do
just a little more if we really wanted too.
Personalities
have never been a problem in our club. We have all worked
in our own way to accomplish the same goals. I hope we can
continue that attitude and work as a team to accomplish what
we have set out to do, help children.
God
Bless
Jerry |

Frederick
Club Makes Interclub
Though
loath to admit it, as evidenced by the smiles on their faces,
a highlight in the life of any member of the downtown Frederick
Kiwanis Club is a visit to a Suburban Frederick Kiwanis club
meeting. (Left to right) Gary Smyle, Pres. Lou Vogel,
