Another month and another new member - boy, are we on a roll or what! Welcome to David Schmitt, a contractor, who is sponsored by Eric Gatrell. We enjoyed having David's wife, Jennifer, join us for David's induction ceremony recently.
We also enjoyed having the folks from Tranquility Farm Equestrian Education and Renewal Center (Thurmont) speak to us and update us as to their activities that benefit those suffering from physical, mental and emotional injury through interaction with horses.
If you missed our crab feed, you missed a special meeting. Not only did we stuff our faces, but we were also privileged to get yet another donation from my neighbor and past contributor Candy Moroz who this time gave the club $500!
We were pleased to have another visit from our incoming Div. 9 Lt. Gov., Rene Mackey, a member of the Hagerstown Club. Renee will replace out-going Lt. Gov. Fred Lohnes who has done a great job for the past TWO years!
Get ready for our Yard Sale fund raiser scheduled for August 28th at the Elks. Contact coordinator Jim Wiggins with any questions. More info to follow. A great time to get rid of all that extra stuff laying around the house. Remember, if you haven't used it in 10 years you do not need it! |
Incoming Lt. Gov. Rene Mackey

Pictured is Terry Proescholdt welcoming incoming Div. 9 Lt. Gov. Renee Mackey from the Hagerstown Club. We look forward to working with Renee next year to keep "Div. 9 Top of the Line"! |
New Member Inducted

Welcome to our newest member, David Schmidt, who was inducted recently by Lt. Gov. Fred Lohnes. Sponsored by Eric Gatrell, David was accompanied at his induction by his wife, Jennifer. David is a contractor and lives on Runnymeade Dr. in Frederick. Pictured are sponsor, Eric Gatrell, Lt. Gov. Fred Lohnes, David Schmitt and his wife, Jennifer.

Real Estate Taxes was the Topic

Frederick County Tax and Assessment Office assessor Ron Peppe (above) recently visited our club to discuss the real estate assessing process and how to file for a reconsideration if you feel your taxes are too high. Lots of information and lots of questions made for another great program! |
Tranquility Farm

Our club recently made a $300 donation to Tranquility Farm Equestrian Education and Renewal Center of Thurmont, MD. Carl Braun (Dir. of Marketing), Norman Gibat (Board Member), and Pres./Founder Sarah Transeau-Hayes visited our club recently to explain the benefits the riding of and interaction with horses has for those suffering from physical, mental or emotional injuries. Pictured are Carl Braun, Sarah Transeau-Hayes, Pres. Bill Muffi, and Norman Gibat.
