Mrs. Winifred Roney




    Mrs. Winifred “Wynne” M. Roney, 72, of Florida, formerly of Frederick, died Saturday, April 28, at her residence.

    She was the wife of Clyde M. Roney Jr.

    Born September 15, 1934, in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Lillian Draper Maher.

    Mrs. Roney was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Frederick.

    Surviving, besides her husband at home, are three sons, Edward P. Mulford Jr. and wife Nancy of Dover, Del., Fr. James L. Mulford of Rome, Italy, and Timothy J. Mulford and wife Deborah of Walkersville; one daughter, Patricia Mulford Fisher and husband Stephen of Dade City, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Roney is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 N. Market St., Frederick, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 4. A wake service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home during the visitation.

    Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 112 E. Second St., Frederick, with Fr. James L. Mulford as the celebrant.

    Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Bearers will be Edward Mulford Jr. and Timothy J. Mulford, sons; Paul Roney, a stepson; Stephen Fisher, a son-in-law; and Denny Roney and Ralph Conrad, both nephews.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Roney to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 37445 Clinton Avenue, Dade City, FL 33525.
