The Burns family of Thurmont was the
grand-prize winner of a recent raffle held by the Kiwanis Club of Surburban
Frederick to benefit local disadvantaged children. Shipley’s TV Sales &
Service helped sponsor the event. Pictured are the winners picking up heir
grandprize flat screen TV, from left, Margaret Burns and daughter, Rachel,
Marshall Carpenter of Shipley’s, and Kiwanian Joe Vitanza. The Kiwanis Club of
