Jason Polansky, blind since birth, recently
shared his experiences as a blind person with members of the Kiwanis Club of
Suburban Frederick. Accompanied by his mother, Susan Polansky, Jason discussed
the development of assistance for the blind, most of which center on learning
and writing in Braille. Jason is a well-spoken 13-year-old who felt comfortable
in front of the crowd as he demonstrated several pieces of equipment he uses.
Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers dedicated to helping the needy of
