Counterterrorist expert and Adjunct
instructor Patrick O’Brien, left, of the National Center for Biomedical Research
and Training, recently addressed the Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick about
the need for national counterterroist preparedness. A former lieutenant with the
Frederick City Police Department, O’Brien is a graduate of Catoctin High School,
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from St. Joseph’s
College in Rensselaer, Ind., and a Master of Science in management from the
Louisiana State university’s National Center for Biomedical Research and
Training Academy of CounterTerrorism education. He is a member of the National
Capital Incident Management Team for managing disasters and terror incidents.
