Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick Presents Grant to Safe Kids Coalition

Humberto “Beto” Benitez, Community Foundation Trustee, Nancy Boyd, Safe Kids Coalition, and Ed Crawford, Suburban Kiwanis Young Children Priority One Committee ChairmanFrederick, MD – August 9, 2011:The Safe Kids Coalition of Frederick County recently received a $1,000 grant from The Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick Fund held by The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The mission of Safe Kids Coalition of Frederick County is to prevent unintentional injuries to children ages 14 and under through a coordinated program of public awareness, education, legislative action, enforcement and access to low cost safety products. Programs include education related to general safety, carbon monoxide poisoning, child passenger seat safety, pedestrian safety, and bicycle safety.
