At a meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Suburban
Frederick, Wags of Hope founder and president Gabe O’Neil, right, explained that
Wags of Hope is a group of pet teams that volunteer in the northwestern region
of Maryland. The teams take their pets to nursing homes, assisted living
facilities, senior centers, Hospice and other facilities to give comfort and
enjoyment to residents. O’Neil participates along with his pet “Charlie,” a
Burmese Mountain dog. Pictured at left is Terry Proescholdt, club member.
